16/2 Cotton (also known as 2/16) is a weaving staple! It is perfect for weaving towels, clothing and table linens. What we like about cotton:
- Absorbent qualities excellent for towels
- Strong enough for warp
- Washes well and stands up to wear and tear
- Great color selection available to find exactly the right combination
16/2 is the finest cotton we carry. Around the studio we use it as weft for the hem section of towels, since its finer size creates hems that are easier to fold and sew. We have also used it as warp for light and luxurious yardage to make into summer tops!
